Hi everyone, today I went to Sprinkles Cupcakes located on Lexington Avenue between 59th and 60th Streets!
You could go inside or....... go to NYC's first cupcake ATM next door!!
The cupcake ATM holds 14 flavors! Also each order must have no more than four cupcakes! Candace Nelson, the owner of Sprinkles Cupcakes, said she could not get a cupcake in the night even thought she owned a cupcake bakery! That's why it's open 24 hours! I knew about this for TWO years after reading on a blog it was looking for a location for a NYC shop! I was so excited when I heard this Summer that it was finally going to happen! The ATM is restocked two to three times a day! To use the cupcake ATM first tap the computer and pick your maximum of four cupcakes!
Next, you have to pay within thirty seconds or your order is cancelled. Then a mechanical arm with a camera that you can watch on the ATM screen picks up the boxes of cupcakes and places them in the slot! The door opens when your cupcakes are ready! How cool is that?!
Then time to enjoy your cupcake/s! They were so fresh and good!

ReplyDeleteThanks Sandi! I recommend you go at 9:30 AM on weekdays and Saturdays at 10:30 AM to be ahead of the long lines and get the freshest cupcakes after they restock the cupcake ATM!
DeleteLove Sprinkles and sounds like you and Tyler had fun with the cupcake ATM! The one in Beverly Hills seems to always have a glitch with the machine or consistently runs out of cupcakes whenever I went to the shop. Also, was just going to write that I think Sprinkles should open their ice cream annex like in CA here in NYC as their ice cream super good when saw your post.
