Hi! Today I went to Warby Parker, located on the corner of Lexington Avenue and 82nd.
You might wonder why I went to an eyeglass store! Read on to find out. This is not just a regular eyeglass store. Warby Parker has an interesting history as it was formerly Lascoff Drugs ( my parents' childhood pharmacy which was opened for about 200 years!). Warby Parker has lots of fun and unusual things for an eyeglass store. They have a photo booth that anyone can use and has cool Upper East Side backdrops to choose from. I chose The Met! #warbybooth
The store has a cool tube that transports the eyeglasses down from upstairs or can also send them downstairs from upstairs.
Bye for now, Andrew www.warbyparker.com

They have really cool wallpaper by the staircase showing sketched figures wearing eyeglasses while reading books. These figures were first shown on their store-promoting blog.
They have free candy for all and pink erasers with famous authors' quotes on them!! Warby Parker even has TVs on the wall displaying customers' appointments!

Love it Andrew, great post!!

DeleteVery cool Andrew! Really enjoyed this post and seeing/learning about the cool features of the store from the photo booth (like the choices for background and great one for Met!) to wallpaper, books and candy bowls. Very stylish. Also enjoyed learning the history of the previous location. Great post! Keep it up and again, thanks for sharing! Kathy
