Hi theater lovers, I think I have for a great place for you to go to!! Introducing the Kaufman Center!! The Kaufman Center, located on West 67th Street (between Amsterdam and Broadway Avenues) has a school for kids from kindergarten to 5th grade, a music school, a summer musical theater program and a beautiful theater offering many great performances...
I just finished performing three performances of "Play with your Food" at the Merkin Theater. At the summer musical theater workshop, I took classes in acting, dance and singing to prepare for our big show. It was a big hit and all seven original musicals were fantastic. The performances were like Broadway and the costumes were unbelievable too. All the teachers and the over 100 student actors worked so hard to make it all come together in five weeks! The Kaufman Center also has a musical group called the Broadway Playhouse that performs every year. I strongly recommend checking out all the performances at this fabulous UWS theater!
