Brookfield Place

Hi Readers! Today I visited Brookfield Place located on Liberty Street.
This is a great mall to visit for many reasons. There is a outside seating area that features great views of boats, Ellis Island and the Statue of Liberty.
After you work out at the Equinox gym, you can visit a variety of stores from indie book store: Postman Books, Calypso clothing store and the huge Saks 5th Avenue that will be opening soon!

There is also a light/filled plaza with "Soft Spin" (fabric forms of several colors that spin in the air that will be hanging in the plaza only until this Saturday). This beautiful lobby is filled with palm trees, has many seating areas and often has concerts.
There are also upscale shops that are also located on Madison Avenue here, such as Tory Burch, Vince, Theory, J Crew, and even Diane Von Furstenberg.
Today I also checked out many restaurants in the mall too!

I first checked out Hudson Eats: a gourmet food court located on the second floor.  Hudson Eats first opened last year. Some of the shops at this food court are Sprinkles Cupcakes , Dos Toros, Black Seed Bagels, Blue Ribbon Sushi, Dig Inn, Chop't, Skinny Pizza, Olive's, Territory, Northern Tiger, Le Muenster, Num Pang, and Umai Burger. Some restaurants are not in the mall and in the outside plaza such as PJ Clarks.

Today I tried the chips and guacamole from Dos Toros, the Yogurt and Cucumber tartine with sourdough bread from Tartinery and cupcakes from Sprinkles. I loved both of the meals I had at Hudson Eats and would highly recommend the food there.
My brother tried the yummy margarita pizza from Skinny Pizza, and my sister loved her grilled cheese from Little Muenster. Everyone kept trying her grilled cheese so we had to order a second one for my sister!

Then I checked out Le District downstairs, on the first floor of Brookfield Place. I knew this was considered a French version of "Eataly" and the main reason we came to check out Brookfield Place.

First I had a yummy lemon sugar crepe, my brother had a blueberry and strawberry crepe and my sister had a belgian waffle with strawberries and powdered sugar at the Pâtisserie. They were all yummy.
There is also a Coffee stand, a whole section of french candy, a Rotisserie, a Fromagerie (a cheese market), Charcuterie (a meat market), restaurants, and a flower market.

We met Yasmine, the manager of the Fleuriste who had a huge knowledge of French, and flowers. We ended up buying a spring bouquet of yellow and white flowers, and also blush-colored roses. Yasmine told us she will be doing some children's French and Art classes at Le District in the future. I cannot wait to return for classes, great food, views and more fun at Brookfield Place. I hope you visit it too and let me know what you thought!

Au revoir, Andrew

  3. We went to Brookfield Place over Spring break and loved seeing all of the stores and food choices. (Unfortunately, we went during Passover so we were limited in terms of eating...) Thanks for another great review.
