#1000hearts

Happy almost Valentine's Day!

To celebrate, I successfully searched for one of crocheting artist London Kaye's #1000hearts.  London Kaye loves to crochet art, making mermaids, peace signs, a Starbucks coffee cup, and even phrases like "cool kids dance". London's favorite thing to crochet is hearts because she likes making people of all ages smile.

On January 31, she placed 1000 crochet hearts of all colors - pink, purple, green, blue, yellow, grey and multi-color hearts all over Union Square with a sweet note attached.

Ms. Kaye decided to continue handing out even more crocheted hearts on February 14th. This time her hearts would be spread out not only in New York City, but internationally in cities like London, and Milan. Today, February 13th in NY, beginning at 8:00 AM, she began placing the other hearts in Lincoln Center and then headed downtown to the Meatpacking Distinct.
I found mine at the Lincoln Center Subway station right in front of Lincoln Center. While the hearts are gone by now, you can still find her hearts at Depop shop (ten for $10) where half the money will be going to Knots of Love who supports helping others with bad sicknesses . Her website is www.londonkaye.com

Finding the hearts not only made me smile, but it made my day!
See you next time, Andrew
