Barnes And Noble

Good afternoon Readers! I enjoy going to the popular bookstore chain Barnes and Noble. There are about 30 locations in New York State and 7 locations in Manhattan. Since I wanted to purchase a new book today, I went to Barnes and Noble. I picked one of the biggest and nicest locations I know. This one is located on 86th Street between Lexington and Third Avenues.
Upon entering the store, you can take  the stairs or escalator downstairs. The first area you'll reach is the nook section.
A nook is a tablet that you can buy apps and books on. This and the games, music, and DVD section were added over the years to attract many more customers to the store -- they don't just sell books anymore! So many of my family's favorite bookstores have closed due to the popularity of e-readers. The bookstores apparently needed to add more than just books to make it!

With that said, let's visit the cafe and magazine section!

Here you can find your favorite magazines and relax with a frappuccino or my favorite, their asiago cheese pretzel. Now let's visit the kids section.
They have a huge selection of middle school books. I found the book I want to purchase today! It's the latest book by Tom Engelberger and called "The Qwickpick Papers".
Pictured below is the area for younger children's books. There are also store computers to look up books by author or title and it will show you a map of the store and where the book you're searching for is located.
The best part of Barnes & Noble for me is having time to browse in the REAL bookstore rather than just online. I hope everyone shops at bookstores like Barnes & Noble too so that bookstores will still be around for our future generations. I know in my free time, I will often be found at their many location throughout the city.
Bye for now, Andrew

PS. I am trying a new method out for you to leave comments since many readers have told me they have tried multiple times to leave a comment on my posts and were unable to. Here is a link below to leave a comment. Make sure you scroll down after the jump to leave your comment.  It will ask for your name and email but don't worry! Your email will not be posted online, wordpress just requires it.  Let me know what you think of the new format, thanks!! https://wilanyc.wordpress.com/2014/06/05/barnes-and-noble-comments/
If you were able to leave a comment before and want to keep doing it the same way on this page, that's great too!! Thanks!
