Downtown Day!

Hello Readers, Happy New Year!!! To start the year off great, I went downtown to one of my favorite neighborhoods and want to share some fun new places I discovered along the way! Strand Bookstore @ Club Monaco. It's on Fifth Avenue between 20th and 21st streets.
Here you can grab some coffee from Toby's Estate Coffee and browse through some books!  I read about Bansky and an I <3 NY recipe book.
When you are done, in the back of the book section you can walk right into the connected Club Monaco and go shopping!  Next I stopped for a impromptu healthy family lunch at Dig Inn. It's located on 17th street between Broadway and Fifth Avenue.
Grab a salad, veggies, some juice, and a soup! It was fantastic!!!!
Finally we will run like bananas up the block to Chloe's Soft Serve Fruit Co.
Have a frozen yogurt made from fruit, water, and organic cane sugar! Or opt for a sundae, smoothie, a pop, or even a yummy breakfast!  See you soon, Andrew!

  4. I didn't know the Strand expanded to 5th with Club Monaco - what a great partnership! So great you were checking out Banksy too. Next time in the area head to City Bakery for some solid hot cocoa and salads along with the pastries and bread at Eric Kayser which opened another branch near the Flatiron bldg (though not as healthy eats!). And I'm sure you already have been to Union Sq Farmers Market. You do NYC proud. Always fun learning new things through your adventures. Can't wait for the next post! Kathy
